This year, the emerging artists’ 2^nd stage is sponsored by GURU Energy Drink!

Again this year, GURU Energy Drink is proud to participate at Montreal’s Piknic Electronik. For this edition, the company has chosen to encourage emerging artists by putting its name on the second stage of the renowned festival. A Piknic Electronik sponsor since its inception, GURU Energy Drink is pushing its commitment even further and stating its desire to provide visibility to the next generation of electronic musicians!

The eponymous stage

The GURU stage will host primarily Canadian emerging artists such as Recife, Footprintz, LOL Boys, Romeo Kardec, Simon Called Peter, Farmelik and Math Rosen. The diverse programming on this second stage perfectly complements the main stage program, which features many enormously talented international artists. “I am impressed to see all these talented people and I believe we must encourage them to realize their dreams. GURU Energy Drink would have never been created if we had not believed, so it’s our turn to help these artists become true Gurus in their endeavours,” says Raymond Jolicoeur, co-founder of GURU Energy Drink. Several artists who have performed on the second stage at Piknic Electronik are now universally recognized.

We are excited to announce that, on December 3, 2010, Christine Wetzel from Huntington Beach, California, won the two-week trip for two to New Zealand (a $10,000 value) in our Nature’s Energy New Zealand Eco Trip Contest. Christine and her boyfriend will discover New Zealand’s spectacular natural wonders in addition to experiencing many amazing activities: surfing, trekking, biking, exploring rugged landscapes, lush rain forests, gorgeous virgin beaches, volcanoes, glaciers and fjords, observing fascinating wildlife, unique vegetation and so much more!

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Christine recently moved West to Huntington Beach after graduating from Texas Tech University in 2007 with a degree in marketing and a minor in Spanish. She currently works as an account manager for a national advertising agency. In her free time, Christine enjoys spending time with her huge family, live music, water sports, walking on the beach with her dog Doug, karaoke, discovering new restaurants, and most of all, traveling! She and her boyfriend are avid travelers and love new adventures! With its diverse terrain and so many different activities, New Zealand is a dream destination for them.

When we asked Christine how she discovered GURU Energy Drink, she said, “I saw an online advertisement for a 100% natural energy drink and decided to try it. I used to drink energy drinks in college when I was waitressing, but had to stop because I would be anxious the next day. Since GURU was all natural, I thought my body might handle it differently, and it did. I don’t get the same “energy hangovers” I did before, plus I like the taste better than other energy drinks, too. I buy GURU at the Vitamin Shoppe next to my office in Huntington Beach.
