Last season’s Fashion Week to me was bittersweet. Ok so this is all great, hanging out with models, free booze, exclusive partys and celebs if you can get to them – and yeah this is a great time for PR – but there was something stale about the whole thing like everybody was trying to recreate the past. Last Friday, Love Brigade’s founders Alyssa Key and Tiny Pants kicked off Fashion Week embracing the future.

On the set of the brilliantly designed D’Apostrophe showroom on Broadway, they directed an extravagant tableau where in the middle of the captivated crowd, models all dressed up in the Spring 09 ex-oh collection played roles from spiritual cannibals to ecstatic party girls. The leatherfaced sun-bathers spelling out the ‘Viva La Future’ sign – the first scene of the show – were my absolute faves. We rocked the night to the music of Finger on the Pulse and of course everybody was drinking GURU.

I haven’t used shampoo for the past two years and my hair is cleaner, softer, fuller than anytime before that. No more dandruff, itching, loss of hair… How’s that for a P&G commercial?
Large consumer goods companies would like you to believe that using shampoo once a day is part of a good hygiene routine. That’s 100% crap.
The human scalp is designed to provide your hair with natural oils and conditioners which are entirely eliminated by most of today’s chemical shampoos. Without these natural oils, our scalp is easily irritated (itching), becomes dry (dandruff) and eventually becomes permanently damaged (gradual balding). Now isn’t that convenient: all these nice new product opportunities for the same companies that created the problem in the first place!
Disclaimer: this true life experience happened to someone with short hair who washes hair with water daily. Cannot guarantee results for long hair.

At an estimated cost of $200 Billion, the bailout by our dear US government represesents $1,700 per household or more than three times the “stimulus’ checks we all received earlier this year. Do you feel stimulated now?
