True Lies

Yet another reversal in the Stevia saga (see my other posts: For Dollars? Will Authorize! and Free? Don’t Authorize! It turns out that the FDA has approved ONLY Coke and Pepsi’s patented version of Stevia for Food and Beverages and NOT the plain old natural and free version of Stevia.

Remember the version that comes from nature, the one that was designed by a higher power, the one that has been used LEGALLY in almost every other country in the world for hundreds of years!

So this is where we stand: The FDA says something which is 95% natural (AND has a patent on it i.e. Truvia and Purevia is safe for human consumption but the 100% natural equivalent (but not patented, i.e. the Stevia leaf itself) is NOT safe for human consumption. Dirty minds indeed!

Which one would you put your money on? Nature’s version? Or the one approved by the FDA? Ask that question to anyone who took Vioxx.
