MYARTSPACE, an online social network devoted to promoting contemporary art and the work of living artists, is giving away $16,000 cash Scholarships for students of artistic merit to continue their education in an approved MFA, BFA or higher level degree program for the arts.

New York-based artist Marc McCoy is opening his second solo exhibition entitled “HALLOW”at LA’s Hope Gallery on Friday March 13th, 2009. The show runs through April 11.

An esoteric interpretation of decay seems to have always been at the core McCoy’s creative process. His last monograph of collages, WOUND, focused on the human’s impulsive desire for self-destruction. This new body of work, a collection of black and white ink drawings, depicts corpses, architectural chaos and ‘alchemical transmutations’.
