Diesel brings back SFX Porn!!!

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

Diesel has always produced great ads, but that Dirty 30 Party video is undeniably our viral pick of the week. Truth is, something just happens when you mix good ol’ porn with cartoon plots. Ahhh, the twists and turns of a dirty mind…

The company’s 30th anniversary ‘worldwide’ party, slated on October 11, promises to be rad and… swanky. Luckily, we’ll be able to witness the circus live on Diesel.com. Guest performers lined up so far include N*E*R*D, M.I.A. Chaka Khan, 2many DJs, Soulwax, Mr Oizo, JunkieXL, Steve Aoki, Uffie, David Holmes, Pedro Winter, The Cool Kids, Pete Doherty, Mark Ronson and New Young Pony Club. Turning 30 doesn’t get much better than that.

Annual Android Auction

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

I was watching BET earlier from the 26th floor of the Sony building when I saw a true shining star on the television screen. And no, it wasn’t Sarah Palin – it was Janelle Monáe from Kansas/ATL, 23 years old, brainchild of the Wondaland Arts Society label and Diddy & Outkast protégée. Her performance gave me deep chills down the spine, kinda like MGMT did when I saw them rocking McCarren Park Pool this summer on a very similar rainy day. This is the first time I’ve felt so strongly about an a female artist since Aaliyah, Gwen Stefani and then Lauryn Hill. Bare with me, I was born in the eighties.

Kanye In Studio, Full On!

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

We just found out that kanYe West, who was spotted drinking GURU Original at the VMAs earlier this month, seems to be fueling on Full On Lemonade during the production of his new album, 808′s and Heartbreak. Or, is it Jeezy’s favorite flavor?

Anyhow, K declared on his blog today that the album, previously scheduled for a holiday release, was all done and ready to go for November. Could it be the guarana… – or is the Heartbreak over?

We truly love artists who don’t go by the rules and actually ride their own wave (in K’s case, a tsunami). There are not many surprises and real controversies left in the media landscape today, everything is so orchestrated; but he’s one who always keeps us guessing.

GURU Hearts K back!!!

The Goldman Rule…

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

Ever noticed that when you change the rules to a game, the ones who start winning again the quickest are usually the smartest of the bunch. Everyone on Wall Street will agree that the bankers and traders at Goldman are the smartest of the lot. They make more money, with fewer resources than anyone else… and they lose less money, when things go sour. By choosing to invest in Goldman, Buffet has proven once again why he is the world’s wealthiest man. As the rules of global commerce are likely to change rather quickly (no short selling, fed as buyer of assets, guarantees for money market funds), the likely winners will be the smartest… or the quickest ones to adapt to this changing reality. Goldman will be raking it in, big time…

One could even argue that given Paulson’s background and the prevalence of ex-Goldman folks everywhere in Washington and on Wall Street (Thain, Corzine, etc…), Goldman might actually be involved in re-writing these new rules. It all goes to show that as always, the Golden Rule applies: He who has the Gold, makes the rules… Way to GO→ Warren!

Put it in your mouth

Pure genious: a colorful USB lollipop pumped up with a sensory substitution technology that wires emotionally engaging images from our tongue to our dirty mind. Eye Candy is available in 6 flavors: Relax, Socialize, Assert, Meditate, Confront and Focus. Hopefully they soon create one to regulate female hormones… that’d be a home run.

Organic Workout!

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

Forget about the old abs, pecs, quads… how about working out your liver, pancreas, kidneys and reproductive organs? Bikram Yoga allows you to do just that. The most strenuous of yoga postures in a 105F degree room. Not for the faint hearted, but you sure get an awesome feeling AFTER the 1.5 hour class (I puked the first time I tried). Also helpful for healing sports injuries to knees, shoulders, hips, etc…

My favorite studios are the Downtown and Brooklyn locations of www.bikramyogabrooklyn.com.

Sort of expensive at $17 for a 1.5 hour session, but very much worth it. Regular use will transform your body and re-focus your mind. Great for anyone looking to re-center and re-energize their lives!

Free? Don’t Authorize! (FDA)

| by admin | category: Uncategorized

Stevia is a plant that grows in Asia and South America and has the unique caracteristic of being extremely sweet. For hundreds of years, it’s been used in India, China and Brazil as a sweetener in foods and beverages.

With the increase in obesity and diabetes, Stevia is now more popular as a low-calory sugar replacement. In the dozens of countries that don’t outlaw it, that is.

The FDA has decided that Stevia is bad for you. Why? Well, for one, its hard to patent. God is the only one that has the original recipe and unlike most, he’s willing to share this great product for FREE. Not a popular word for the likes of Cargill (HFCS) or Monsanto (Aspartame) or Tate & Lyle (Splenda).

Maybe that’s why Cargill and Coke spent over $200 million trying to develop a “patentable” stevia-based sweetener. Once they succeed, who wants to bet the FDA will magically change its stance on Stevia?
