What is an energy drink, and how is GURU different?
An energy drink by definition has a specific function – delivering energy. It’s not an herbal tea nor is it a Gatorade-like “isotonic” or “sports” drink. And as an energy drink, GURU is a functional energy supplement specifically designed for active people who want to surpass themselves. GURU has a crucial advantage: it helps increase physical and cerebral energy levels alike.
What makes GURU different from other energy drinks??

You bet! However, the rate of effectiveness does depend largely on each consumer’s metabolism, thereby resulting in stronger effects for some individuals and lesser effects for others, not unlike most herbal or vitamins supplements. Who are the typical GURU consumers?
Men and women alike, students, professionals, sports enthusiasts, artists, drivers, manual workers, laborers, late-night workers, early risers or night owls and all active and outgoing health-conscious 16 to 76 year-olds.
When is the best time to drink GURU?
You decide. GURU is good at any time of the day but – of course – as an energy drink, GURU is best consumed at times of increased physical or intellectual demand, or to maintain balance when fatigue threatens. Here are a few relevant examples of GURU usage occasions: before engaging in sports activities, mid-afternoon low or late night at the office, while studying for an important exam, to remain alert while driving long distances, to hit the dance floor a little later than usual, etc.
Is GURU safe for everyone?
While GURU is not dangerous in itself, young children, pregnant women and consumers with heart or other medical conditions should consult their physician before consuming any stimulants, including GURU.
Does GURU contain caffeine?
A 12floz can of GURU contains 140mg of guaranine. Guarana is a potent natural stimulant found in the Amazon. The active component of this plant - guaranine - is closely related to caffeine and is often referred to as the "naturally occurring caffeine in guarana". Guaranine helps the nervous system fight fatigue and stimulate the metabolism, and although similar to caffeine, there lies a notable difference between the two. Caffeine stimulates quickly, resulting in a high energy sensation, soon followed by a low energy sensation. Guaranine has the distinct particularity and advantage of providing a prolonged sensation of alertness.
What are the exact dosages of each ingredient contained in GURU?
The exact GURU recipe is one of a kind and is – obviously – a well-kept secret. However, a 12fl oz can of GURU contains a proprietary blend made of 1928mg of guarana, panax ginseng, gingko biloba and echinacea. Together, these herbal extracts represent the botanical complex at the root of the product and act in perfect synergy with the other natural ingredients to deliver the quintessence of their qualities.
Taurine is an amino acid derivative found in animals. Natural sources of dietary taurine include shellfish and organ meats such as liver.
Why is there no taurine in GURU?
First of all, the human body synthesizes taurine on its own, so there is no use in consuming extra doses of it. When added to foods and beverages, taurine must be artificially produced, therefore cannot be added to a 100% natural beverage. Because the evidence to support the use of taurine is still limited and somewhat preliminary, many countries like France, Denmark and Norway outlaw the use of taurine in foods and beverages.

How is GURU Lite different from the original GURU?
GURU Lite was created so that health conscious consumers could enjoy GURU's efficacy, great taste and 100% natural ingredients, without having to worry about the calories. The main difference in formula lies in the sweeteners. GURU is sweetened with white grape juice concentrate and cane juice concentrate and contains 100 calories per 8fl oz serving. GURU Lite is sweetened with luo han guo juice concentrate and cane juice concentrate, and contains only 10 calories per 8fl oz serving.
Is GURU Lite as powerful and effective as GURU?

Luo han guo is a vine-growing fruit that grows exclusively in remote parts of Southwest China, predominantly in the province of Guangxi. Its plant is in the Curcurbitaceae family, witch includes other vines that produce melons, squash, gourds, and cucumbers. Its fruit is well-known for its sweet taste and its remarkable sweet components.
For nearly 1000 years, luo han guo has been used as a medicinal herb for treating cough and sore throat and is popularly considered, in Southern China, to be a longevity aid. It has more recently been developed into a natural non-caloric sweetener. The sweet taste of luo han guo comes primarily from mogrosides present in the fleshy part of the fruit, and when used in its purest form, is estimated to be over 300 times sweeter than sugar.
Decades of research and documented usage have proven luo han guo to be safe. While much sweeter than sugar, luo han guo does not have any of the negative metabolic effects of sugar, such as increased blood sugar or insulin levels. It is low glycemic and low caloric. It is apparent that it can be used as a natural sugar substitute even for diabetics.
Luo han guo's "purifying" reputation is now supported by evidence of its antioxidant and immune system building properties. In 1988, China Scientific Natural Substance Investigations Institute reported the discovery of several naturally occurring anti-oxidants in luo han guo. Recent studies have also demonstrated luo han guo's analgesic proprieties.

Do GURU Energy Hybrids taste the same as the original GURU?
The answer is no. The four new GURU products are unique not only because of their innovative qualities, but also because of their distinctive tastes. So while GURU original has its own very unique and often difficult to describe taste, we’ve opted for simplicity with our GURU Energy Hybrids. Each has its own fruit flavor, clearly indicated at the top of the can in a horizontal band, colored according to the fruit(s) in question.
